Russian design engineer Alexander Begak presented a model of the PCJ Begaero flying car. Footage from the closed presentation in Pyatigorsk was shown by the Ren TV channel. Begak has already created prototypes of devices that can move across land, air and water. He calls himself an innovative designer, and his new invention is the air taxi. According to the developer, it can be used by special services, rescuers or health workers in urban environments or outside the city. “Firstly, emergencies. This device must fly to an area of infection or emergency, for example, flooding, avalanche, and so on. He must arrive quickly and provide assistance. If necessary, bring a doctor and pick up the victims. Moreover, its logistics task in the first stage is to transport cargo of about 500 kg. This is fast logistics over a distance of up to 600 km. That is, we have a hub, and from this hub we transport cargo to small sectors. It is also intended for passengers. Ground transportation is now crowded, and the device can be used in an urban environment. The special services and operational medical services may also need it,” Begak said, adding that the airmobile should also be available in the luxury segment of the market. According to the designer, his plans are to completely enter Russian production. Now this is impossible, we have to use Chinese spare parts. Begak plans to turn to Rostec and Roscosmos for help in finding investors and hopes to show the airmobile at the MAKS 2021 air show or in August 2021 if the show does not take place. In a conversation with Autonews.ru, the designer noted that the presented prototype was made in size 1:4 to the real one and really works. According to the engineer, the PCJ Begaero can be used in both manned and unmanned modes.
